The Way of Tao and Zen

It's two.
Zen is the head, the bum belongs to Tao. XD



They are daft and adorable when they're cuddled up asleep!

We were playing on the desk tonight, there were lots of boxes to explore, but some got in the way so we pushed them aside. One was blocking my way, I was crawling along a narrow ledge with unscalable box to one side and a perilous drop on the other. It was all going ok till my paws started to slip off the curved edge of the desk. My feet went in a blur as I tried to stay on the desk, but to no avail, I wasn't going anywhere except down!
My little heart was beating fast as I slid through the air, and landed... on shiro's palm!
shiro had thrown out a hand to catch me, and by some luck, unbelievable to both of us I landed plum in the middle of her palm in a soft flump. We were both startled and delighted at shiro's lucky catch, so I gave her a cuddle to thank her, and to give myself time to calm down!
Super shiro saved the day! Thanks shiro! (Just, don't try and catch me when I'm purposefully jumping off in an escape attempt ok!)

Since Tao managed to escape twice now and have a look round shiros flat, he kept telling me enticing tales of all the fun things he got to see and sniff, and how the floor goes on forever so you can run and run and run. I wanted to see for myself, so last night while shiro was letting us play on the desk I finally took the plunge... pretty literally. I was looking over the edge considering how far it was when my feet slipped on the smooth desk top and I fell onto the floor in a furry heap. Shiro was concerned I might have hurt myself but soon dismissed that idea as I got up and bounded away. I had done it, I had made it to the floor! I was determined to have a good nosy round everywhere. Shiro tried to tempt me back with my favorite treats, but I was far too interested in my surroundings to fall for that. I looked around the workroom, investigated shiro's toes then had a look in the kitchen. I found a lovely dark hidey hole next to the washing machine. Only, shiro should clean better because it was very dusty under there! I also had a look round shiro's computer. Today shiro's saying her internet is broken... It couldn't be anything to do with that tasty wire I nibbled tho. Eventually after a couple of circuits round the flat, the lure of treats because too great to resist and shiro scooped me up and took me home. I had lots of fun exploring though, I'm sure I'll try and go exploring again!

Zen: shiro has been letting us play on the desk for a while now, but tonight I found that there is a gap down the back of the desk, and since I've lost weight I could squeeze through! Suddenly I found myself in a dark squidgy underworld. It was all blue and soft or brown and crinkly, and there was lots of dark places to explore!
shiro had been alerted to my escape, she was sitting watching our antics as usual, by the sound of gerbil scrambling about in places he wasn't meant to be. So when I poked my nose out into the light, shiro was there waiting for me and scooped me up back onto the desk.

Tao: While shiro was busy blocking up Zen's escape route, I made my own bid for freedom! shiro has a new futon sofa and it was quite near the desk, I'd been weighing it up for a while and reckoned I could make the jump. While shiro was busy I took the chance. I bounced on the cushion and landed on the floor, then swiftly showed shiro a clean pair of heels and a vanishing tail.
shiro went and closed the door so I couldn't have a look round the whole flat, but I did have a good nosy round the main room. shiro was distracted trying to stop Zen from following my example, then she got a box and came after me. A gerbil can't resist a box, but the first time I was too quick and when she tried to pick me up while I was exploring the box I zoomed out the end! But next time shiro put sunflower seeds in the box. That's the other weakness gerbils have, the combination of a box to explore AND sunflower seeds was too much! I was caught.

Zen: After that shiro made us go back in the tank even tho we wanted to play some more. She said that we'd had enough excitement for one evening. I hope she lets us out to play again soon! X3
